I am an Assistant Professor of Science Communication in the Department of Communication at the University of Maryland, College Park. I completed my PhD in mass communications with the Department of Life Sciences Communication at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. My interdisciplinary interests in science communication build on over a decade of experience working at the intersections of science, communication, and policy.
I previously worked in digital communications at the University of Minnesota where I also earned an MS in science, technology, and environmental policy. Before moving to the Midwest for graduate school, I worked on science policy issues at the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Washington, DC.
